6 Months of Emblem3

September 12, 2012....

Now, to most other people, that's probably just another date that came and went. Not for me. Now, this all started during finals of my freshman year... *begin flashback*

My mom called me downstairs and said to me that X Factor auditions were coming to my town and they were giving away free tickets to watch. Cool, I thought. I agreed to go, only because Simon Cowell would be there and he was the creator of my life, a.k.a. One Direction. I went to watch the auditions, I got floor seats and sat right behind Simon Cowell, three rows backs (I even got on TV, I could see me, even some of my friends saw me). Now, no one particularly impressed me at the auditions in my town. One girl from the auditions made it to live shows (I'm not saying who because then you'd know where I lived). I then waited about 3  months for the show to air.

Here's where it gets good.

I waited patiently for the show to air. I wanted to watch it from the very beginning so on Wednesday night, I sat in front of the TV waiting for the show to come on. It was all very exciting. And then I saw them. Emblem3. Uh, by the way, they are not a boy band. Anyways, from the moment I saw them, I fell in love. I was praying to a god I don't believe in that they would be good, cause, if they weren't good then what's the point of being a fangirl? So, they had a little segment on them and they were totes presh. They had little sunburns from skateboarding (Uh, guys, by the way, skate boarding is totally hot) and they talked real cute and stuff. Then they walked out on stage and totally smashed it. I mean, they were just incredible. They performed their own song (which I now have in my iTunes) and were just all around amazing. I fell in love.

I knew they would make it to live shows. And of course they did. But here's a little tip to know, shows like X Factor and American Idol and others shows like that, they're all rigged. Call me a conspiracy theorist but it's true. They know who's going to win from the beginning and then influence the votes a bit. If you watched X Factor this past season then you know that Tate and Carly were in the top two the whole season and who ended up in the top two? That's right,  Tate and Carly. Coincidence? I think not. But anyways, back to what I was saying. They made it to live shows and only got fourth (They should have made it to finals though...). Still, I watched them every week and always voted for them. It was so emotional for me when they got voted off. I was ready to punch Mario Lopez right in the face. But it didn't matter that they didn't win. They have their own headlining tour and are recording an album. I'm honestly so proud of them and proud to say I've been there for them since the beginning. I know it doesn't matter if you're there from the beginning or not, I mean, a true fan is a true fan right? But I was always jealous of those directioners who got to say they were there for One Direction since the beginning. But yeah, I'm just so proud of how far they've come in 6 months.

[Disclaimer: Emblem3 have been together longer than 6 months. They were a band before X Factor. The significance of the 6 months is since their audition was aired on television.]
